Avoided Deforestation Partners’ membership includes leaders from both the for-profit and non-profit world who donate their time and resources to advance international policy concerning avoided deforestation and the global carbon market. Our members represent a diversity of perspectives, but we are united in our effort to facilitate the transfer of knowledge and innovation between the private sector, NGOs, and forest communities as our global society seeks to identify an international policy approach that will harness market forces to reduce deforestation. While our members are not required to agree on all elements of what constitutes our consensus-driven “Partners Approach,” we do share the common belief that unless the UN adopts a fair and effective market-driven solution to deforestation, the rapid disappearance of our forests will continue unabated.
